This standard work on treatment needs no recommendation; it is already in the possession of most physicians, and it is only necessary to say that it has been thoroughly revised to bring it abreast of modern usage. Several new articles appear on encephalitis, kala-azar, snakebite, transfusion and other subjects. No less than a (hundred authors contribute to the book, so it is evident that each subject is dealt with by a writer who is a recognised specialist. Such names as those of Clifford Allbutt, Rose Bradford, Daniels Goodall, Pearce Gould, Robert Jones and Norman Walker indicate the degree to which the leading men of the medical profession in England have collaborated in the production of the book.
